Despite the move from our usual two table location in Manchester to a more remote one table set-up we had a steady stream of visitors from Thursday afternoon until around 2:30 Saturday afternoon when we closed shop. We placed nearly all of our higher end material, including a few neat $20 gold coins from the Carson City Mint. Since early March gold spot has been climbing and climbing, first over 2,000, then 21 hundred, followed by 22 hundred and, late this week, for a moment spot actually rose above 24 hundred dollars an ounce!

The spot prices of gold and silver have an interesting effect on consumers. The old adage "buy low and sell high" doesn't seem to apply. At the Manchester show, people did not rush to buy bullion related gold coins, perhaps fearing that prices might come tumbling down.

We have decided to do the one day show in West Springfield, MA. on April 28. We are normally reluctant to set-up at a one day show, but felt it was necessary since we don't have any other shows scheduled until early September.
